Bhatkal (Uttara Kannada): In a significant political move, the President of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem Bhatkal and prominent JD(S) figure, Inayathullah Shabandri, formally joined the Congress party.
The transition occurred during an event graced by the presence of KPCC Chief DK Shivakumar and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Shabandri’s departure from the JD(S) followed the party’s decision to align with the BJP for the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections.
Despite his silence on the matter, social media scrutiny and pressure from his position as President of the socio-religious organization, Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, compelled him to offer clarification on his stance.
