Bidar: Rahim Khan, a three-term MLA, has been elected to the cabinet position. Previously, Rahim Khan received the sports portfolio from the Siddaramaiah administration. The Siddaramaiah administration has now appointed him to a ministerial position once more, he will head the Municipal Administration and Haj.
In the Bidar constituency, Rahim Khan was chosen to the assembly for a third term in a row following the passing of Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli. He is the owner of the Ruhi Educational Institute, which includes nursing schools in Bangalore and Bidar.
Although he hasn’t earned any degrees—he simply finished Class XII—he is credited with establishing the institutions. Regardless of how harshly the opposing parties criticise him, he never even replies. There is no record of his holding an open news conference. He always tries to steer clear of controversies.
