Karnataka Bans DJ Systems During Gauri Ganesha and Eid Milad Festivals to Maintain Public Peace

The Karnataka state government has issued a strict directive banning the use of DJ systems across the state until the completion of the Gauri Ganesha festival and Eid Milad celebrations. The order, effective from September 7, 2024, aims to ensure public safety and maintain harmony during these significant religious events.

Ganesha idols will be installed in public places across the state starting from September 7, 2024, with immersion ceremonies scheduled on various days. Additionally, the Eid Milad festival will be celebrated by the Muslim community on September 16, 2024.

Citing concerns over potential disruptions to public safety, students, the elderly, and hospital patients, the government has instructed district commissioners to enforce the ban. The decision has been taken in the public interest to preserve law and order and promote peaceful celebrations during these festivals.
