Surathkal: Police have arrested five individuals involved in the stone pelting incident at Masjidul Huda Juma Masjid in Katipalla 3rd Block, managed by the Krishnapura Muslim Jamaat.
The arrested individuals include Bharat from Ashraya Colony, Chennappa from Katla Ashraya Colony, Nitin from Haleangadi, Manu from Ishwara Nagar, and Sujith from Munchur.
Bharat faces charges under Section 307 for his involvement in a related fight, and a rowdy sheet has been opened against him at the Surathkal police station.
The incident occurred last night when assailants on two motorbikes threw stones at the mosque’s rear windows. After the attack, three fled towards Ganesh Katte, while others escaped back to the graveyard.
