“Sweating increases as the temperature rises. This causes dehydration problems. People must consume more water and liquids to stay away from this problem.
Consultant of Internal Medicine of Narayana Health City Hospital Dr. Nidin Mohan said, “Elderly people, especially those taking medications that reduce sweating and frequent alcohol consumption, are more susceptible to heat stroke”.
“Patients with symptoms such as increased body temperature, increased pulse rate, and mental confusion should be hospitalized for at least 48 hours. They need to be under intensive care. Because severe heat stroke can cause kidney damage and damage to other vital organs,” Dr. Mohan explained.
