VARANASI: In a significant development, BJP MLA Ramdular Gond from the Duddhi seat has been pronounced guilty by Sonbhadra district’s additional session judge, Ehsanullah Khan, in a case involving the rape of a minor girl in 2014.
The survivor’s lawyer, Vikas Shakya, revealed that the court’s verdict was delivered on Tuesday, marking a crucial moment in the legal proceedings. The quantum of punishment for Gond is set to be announced on December 15.
In response to the conviction, Gond has been taken into judicial custody and sent to jail.
