Fire at Baikampadi Seafood Factory Results in Multi-Crore Losses

A fire erupted early this morning at a poultry and seafood manufacturing plant situated in the Baikampadi industrial area, resulting in substantial financial setbacks amounting to several crores of rupees.

The incident took place at the Shihar Enterprises factory around 4:45 am, rapidly consuming the entire facility.

Firefighters from MRPL and NMPT swiftly deployed eight fire tenders to combat the blaze. Despite three and a half hours of relentless efforts, the firefighters managed to gain control of the fire.

Nonetheless, the factory incurred significant damage by the time the flames were subdued. Initial investigations point to a short circuit as the likely cause of the fire, with estimated losses from the incident pegged at around Rs. 3 crores.
