Islamic Scholar Maulana Muhammad Farooq Khan passed away

New Delhi: Islamic Scholar Scholar and Senior Member of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind passed away. Maulana Muhammad Farooq Khan was highly respected within the Islamic community for his knowledge and expertise in translating and explaining the Holy Quran. His translations and commentaries were available in both Urdu and Hindi languages, making it accessible to a wider audience.

Born in Karpi village in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in 1932, Maulana Muhammad Farooq Khan pursued a Masters in Hindi Literature. After completing his education, he began his career as a teacher in Azamgarh. However, his passion for writing and spreading Islamic knowledge soon led him to focus on his literary pursuits.

His first major work was the Hindi translation of the Holy Quran, which established him as a prominent figure in the field. He then went on to write a notable four-volume collection of hadith commentary called Kalameh Nabuwat, which garnered much acclaim.

In addition to his translations and commentaries, Maulana Muhammad Farooq Khan authored numerous books on various subjects such as da’wa (Islamic propagation), guidance, personality development, and comparative study of religions. His works greatly enriched the Islamic literary landscape, bridging the gap between Arabic and Urdu literature and reaching a wider audience through his Hindi translations.

Maulana Muhammad Farooq Khan’s contributions to Islamic literature in Hindi and Urdu languages cannot be overstated. His dedication to translating and explaining religious texts, as well as his insightful writings on Islamic subjects, have left a lasting impact on the community.
