Karni Sena Chief’s killing: Woman arrested for providing weapons and providing shelter to the shooters

Rajasthan police has arrested a woman on Monday who provided weapons to the shooters who were involved in the Karni Sena Chief’s killing. The woman did not only provide the weapons but also gave shelter to one of the shooters of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.

Pooja Saini is allegedly associated with a criminal network. It was her husband Mahendra Meghwal who supplied weapons to Nitin Fauji, who is among one of the shooters who has been arrested by the Rajasthan Police. He is the one who took shelter in the couple’s rented flat in the Jagatpura area of Jaipur for about a week before committing the crime on December 5 along with his accomplice, reported PTI citing Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph.

The police has already arrested three men, two of them are the shooters while the third one is the helping hand. They were allegedly involved in the killing of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. They were also produced before a local court and thereby remanded to police custody for another seven days by the magistrate. The shooters — Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathore were with their accomplice Udham Singh. They were nabbed from sector 22 in Chandigarh by Rajasthan police on Saturday night.

Police also said that Meghwal alias Sameer is a history-sheeter of Kota and currently he is absconding.
