Rahul Gandhi Defamation Case ; Gujarat Court Verdict Death of Democracy

Bengaluru: KPCC President D.K. Shivkumar said that the Gujarat High Court refusing to put a stay on the defamation case against Rahul Gandhi indicates the death of democracy. He said that Rahul Gandhi is a good leader who questions the rise in prices, corruption and unemployment in the country and BJP does not want his presence in the Parliament. AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala pointed out that even though Nirav Modi and Nishal Modi were bank fraudsters, they are punishing Rahul Gandhi who spoke about the fraud without giving any punishment to the fraudsters. After the assembly session was over on Friday against the court verdict, Congress members led a protest in front of the Gandhi statue in the Vidhan Soudha area.
