Imphal: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi started the second day of his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ from Sekmai here. At this time, he interacted with the people standing on both sides of the road to welcome him.
Rahul Gandhi started the second day of the yatra in a specially prepared Volvo bus and then walked some distance listening to the plight of the people.
People gathered along the road and shouted slogans in favor of Rahul Gandhi. There was a large number of women and children among those who joined.
The second day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra was started by hoisting the flag of Seva Dal at 7.30 am. The Yatra will proceed from Sekmai to Kangpopki, from there to Senapati. It will stay in Nagaland for the night”, said Jairam Ramesh, head of the communication department of the Congress.
