Ratan Tata’s Body Draped in Tricolor Arranged for Public Viewing

The mortal remains of Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Sons and recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, were brought to the National Center for Performing Arts (NCPA) in south Mumbai, draped in the Indian flag.

The body will be available for public viewing until 4 PM, followed by the final rites in Mumbai’s Worli area. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will represent the Centre at the funeral.

Footage from the scene captured the large crowd gathered to pay their respects to the corporate giant.

Tata received the Padma Vibhushan in 2018 and the Padma Bhushan in 2000. He began his career on the shop floor of Tata Steel and later succeeded JRD Tata as the Chairman of Tata Sons in 1991. Under his leadership, the Tata Group acquired significant assets, including Tetley, Jaguar Land Rover, and Corus.
