Bareilly Highway Scam Exposed: Yogi Govt Cracks Down, 15 Officials Face Suspension

The state government has identified the guilty tehsildar and naib tehsildar and written to the Revenue Council for action. In the Bareilly highway acquisition scam, around 15 employees, including the tehsildar and naib tehsildar, will be suspended. The government has sent the file to the Revenue Council and DM for action.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the suspension of all accused and an investigation. The government has asked the Revenue Council to take action against the guilty tehsildar and naib tehsildar.

Additionally, the Bareilly DM has been instructed to suspend the involved lekhpal and kanungo and inform the government. The DM can suspend lekhpal and kanungo, but for kanungo, DM needs to take approval from the Revenue Council.

Earlier, CM suspended Madan Kumar and Ashish Kumar, competent authorities for land acquisition, Umashankar, lekhpal of Tehsil Sadar, Suresh Saxena, lekhpal of Nawabganj, and Dabir Singh, SLAO.

Twelve lekhpal and amin, including Ashish Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, Vinay, Dinesh Chandra, Mukesh Gangwar, Tejpal, Gyandip Gangwar, Mukesh Kumar Mishra, Vinay Kumar, Dinesh Chandra, Alok Kumar, and Anuj Verma, former amin of Special Land Acquisition Office, have been identified for action.

Highly placed sources confirm that all those found involved in the preliminary investigation will face suspension.
