SIO Hyderabad Holds Solidarity Gathering and Funeral Prayer for Shaheed Ismail Haniyeh

Hyderabad: The Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) Hyderabad organized a solidarity gathering and Funeral Prayer in Absentia (Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza) for Shaheed Ismail Haniyeh on Friday, August 2, at Masjid-e-Azizia, Mehdipatnam, following Isha prayers. The prayer was led by Dr. Hafiz Imaduddin Mohsin Umri Madni, Imam of Masjid-e-Azizia.

The event began with the Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza, attracting a large turnout of men and women who came to pay their respects and reaffirm their commitment to justice and solidarity.

After the prayers, a condolence meeting featured speeches from prominent scholars and community leaders, including Jb Hamid Mohammad Khan (National Director, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind), Maulana Taqi Raza Abedi (President, Tanzeem Jaffari), Hafiz Rashaduddin, Jb Md Azharuddin (Vice Presidents of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Telangana), Abdul Hafeez (President of SIO Telangana), Mufti Omar Abedeen Qasmi Madani (General Secretary of All India Milli Council), and Aijaz Mohiuddin Wasim (President and Khateeb of Masjid-e-Azizia). Advocate Abdul Sami conducted the proceedings.

The program aimed to educate the youth about the life of Shaheed Ismail Haniyeh, express solidarity with the Palestinian cause, and support Palestinian fighters. In his presidential address, Jb Hamid Mohammad Khan highlighted Ismail Haniyeh’s role as a prominent leader in the Palestinian freedom movement, drawing parallels to Indian freedom fighters like Sardar Vallahbhai Patel, Gandhi Ji, and Maulana Azad. He urged the Indian government to openly support the Palestinian cause and cease arms supplies to Israel.

The gathering demonstrated Muslim unity and collective resolve. The speeches underscored the importance of steadfastness, ongoing support for the Palestinian cause, and boycotting Israeli products. The participants’ determination and deep interest showcased the community’s unity and resolve.
