Police in a northern district of Kerala reported the discovery of two deceased individuals on Friday, suspected to have succumbed to a drug overdose, while a third person was found unconscious nearby.
Residents alerted authorities after finding the bodies on a vacant private property near Nellacherry, within the jurisdiction of the Edachery police station.
Investigators recovered syringes at the scene, suggesting possible involvement with illicit substances.
“We found two of them dead while the third person was alive. He has now been admitted to a nearby hospital. We have recovered syringes from the scene. The investigation is on,” police stated.
The deceased individuals were identified as Randeep (28) and Akshay (27), both hailing from the Kozhikode district.
