In a heartbreaking occurrence, a female staff member of Kapu police station was discovered deceased by hanging in the police quarters, with the incident unfolding early on Saturday morning.
The deceased, identified as Jyoti (28), hailing from Bagalkote, was found hanging within the quarters. Reports indicate that Jyoti returned home after her shift on Friday night and was found by authorities the following morning.
Jyoti’s husband, employed with KSRTC, had already left for work when the tragedy occurred. Upon the discovery, Additional Superintendent of Police Siddhalingappa, DySP Arvinda Kalagujhi, and Kapu Tehsildar Pratibha R. arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation.
While the precise cause of Jyoti’s demise remains undetermined, authorities are actively probing the circumstances surrounding her untimely death. Kapu MLA Abdul Qader is also present at the scene, with further details anticipated as the investigation unfolds.
