Another mob lynching, man lynched in Rajasthan over suspicion of Cow smuggling, one was killed and the other was seriously injured

A mob in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh district suspects two men were smuggling cows, killing one and injuring another, according to police reports.

Additional Director General of Police (Crime) Ravi Prakash Meharda, said; The incident took place on the night between June 13 and 14.

Police further said that the two men were transporting cattle to Madhya Pradesh when they were attacked. One of them, Pintu, is being treated at a hospital, while 25-year-old Babu Lal Bhil died after being taken to hospital.

Babu is originally from Achalpur in Madhya Pradesh.

Police have registered murder charges and questioned about eight people.

Udaipur Inspector General also reached the spot for interrogation. According to NDTV, the police heard the voice of a gang “beating some people who were carrying cows in their vehicle”, the middle of the night. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered the attackers were from the nearby village of Raiti.

“They (the attackers) snatched the men’s documents and mobile phones. When the police arrived, they fled; our officers rescued the two men and took them to the hospital, where Babu lost his life. Pintu is now in stable condition,” as NDTV said.

In 2018, Rajasthan witnessed the brutal lynching of Rukbar Khan as he was transporting from a village in Alwar in the state to a milking cow in Kolgaon, Haryana. While Rukbar succumbed to his injuries, his friend Aslam Khan managed to escape and was seriously injured.
