In the last 24 hours India has recorded 17,336 new Covid-19, bringing a 30% increase in cases reported a day before. This takes the total number of coronavirus infections to 4,33,62,294 across India. 13 Covid-19 related deaths were also reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities to 5,24,954, NDTV reported.
The number of active cases increased to 88,284 in the country, according to Union Health Ministry data.
The active cases comprise 0.19 per cent of the total infections. The national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.60 per cent, the Health Ministry said. The active cases have increased by 4,294 in a span of 24 hours.
13,029 recoveries were also recorded in the last 24 hours increases the total recoveries to 4,27,49,056.
The Health Ministry said that the daily positivity rate was recorded at 3.94 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 2.90 per cent.
