The pilgrims were traveling to Somnath after visiting the Nishkalank Mahadev temple when their bus became trapped by rising waters. A joint effort by local Muslims and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) successfully evacuated the stranded passengers.
Despite the crucial role played by local Muslims in the rescue, their contribution has been largely overlooked by major news outlets.
