Bengaluru Shaken by Gruesome Murder: Woman’s Body Found Dismembered and Stored in Fridge

Bengaluru: A murder case, reminiscent of the Shraddha Walker case in Delhi, has come to light in Bengaluru. A young woman’s body was found dismembered into more than 30 pieces and stored in a fridge in the Vayalikaval area.

The victim, identified as Mahalakshmi, aged 25-26, was from outside Karnataka, possibly from Chhattisgarh or West Bengal. Police believe she was killed 10 to 15 days ago. Mahalakshmi, separated from her husband, had been living alone in a rented house near Veeranna Bhawan on Pipe Line Road for the past few months.

The gruesome discovery was made after neighbors reported a foul smell emanating from the house. When the woman’s mother and elder sister broke into the locked house, they found her remains in a 165-litre single-door fridge.

Additional Commissioner of Police, Satish, confirmed that a suspect, a young man who frequently picked up and dropped off Mahalakshmi, is under investigation for the murder. The Vayalikaval police have launched a detailed probe into the case.
