Yuva Sena (UBT) Sweeps Mumbai University Senate Elections, Delivers Crushing Defeat to ABVP

MUMBAI: The Yuva Sena (UBT), the youth wing of Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena faction, won a decisive victory in the Mumbai University Senate election by winning all 10 seats.
The results announced on Friday proved that Manu is a stronghold of the Yuva Sena in the Senate.
He has held these positions for over a decade. Bharatiya Janata Party-backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) suffered a crushing defeat.
With a voter turnout of around 55%, 7,200 votes were cast, of which 6,684 were valid. Candidates need at least 1,114 votes to win in the open category. It was seen that Yuva Sena supporters celebrated at the counting center on Friday, shouting slogans on behalf of Shiv Sena and Yuva Sena leaders and distributing sweets.
