Amidst Claims of ‘False News’ Against CM Siddaramaiah, Concerns Rise Over Miscreants’ Actions

“We don’t need Hindus. Muslim race is enough. I want to be born as a Muslim in my next life. A piece of fake news similar to a press report with the headline “Don’t bother with BJP’s criticism of Muslim appeasement” has gone viral on social media. Commenting on this, Siddaramaiah said, “We will uproot the fake factory through the law.” He has attacked BJP-JDS.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah convened a meeting with senior officials to discuss guarantees. However, fake news emerged on social media, falsely portraying the meeting as one attended by Congress workers and mimicking a newspaper format. Siddaramaiah denounced the misinformation, stating, “We don’t discriminate based on religion. False claims suggesting ‘Muslims’ alone are sufficient have been spread”.

Clarifying that the piece of news is false, Siddaramaiah said, “The scoundrels sponsored by the BJP-JDS alliance have created a piece of fake news similar to a newspaper, filled it with news that inflames people’s communal feelings and circulated it on social media. I have already complained about this to the police department. We have information about the evil power behind this, and they will be brought to justice as soon as possible.”

“It shows the intellectual bankruptcy of the BJP and JD(S) that they are going to win elections through such detours without being able to confront their political opponents fairly. “A party that ruled the country for ten years should not have reached such a low level that it resorted to fake news to win elections,” he said.

“Be careful before believing and sharing fake news….!! The creators of fake news, those who support them behind their backs, thus we will root out the fake factory through the law,” he warned.
