New Delhi: In her first media address after being elected the leader of Delhi’s AAP legislative party and the new Chief Minister, Atishi expressed her deep gratitude to Arvind Kejriwal, calling him her “guru” and the “popular CM of Delhi.”
“I am immensely grateful to Arvind Kejriwal for trusting me with such a huge responsibility,” Atishi said. Reflecting on her journey, she highlighted how Kejriwal’s leadership allowed someone from an ordinary family and a first-time politician to rise to the position of CM, a rare occurrence in other political parties.
While expressing happiness over her new role, Atishi also expressed sadness over Kejriwal’s resignation, stating, “For the 2 crore people of Delhi, there is just one CM—Arvind Kejriwal.”
