Security Alert: Approximately 100 Schools in Delhi Receive Bomb Threats

Around 100 schools in and around Delhi received a bomb threat email early Wednesday morning. It is said that around 4 am, a threatening message was received on the official email IDs of the schools. An investigation is underway to trace the source of the email.

The Central Bureau of Investigation is investigating. A preliminary investigation found that the emails were sent from Russia.

In the last two days, airports and hospitals have received similar threats. Delhi Fire Service (DFS) has reportedly received 60 bomb threat calls so far, officials said.

On receiving the information about the threat to the schools, the local police immediately went to the schools and sent everyone out of the school premises. Bomb detection teams, bomb disposal squads, and DFS officials are conducting the search operation.
