Yogi Adityanath accepts AIMIM Chief Owaisi’s challenge, says BJP will win over 300 seats in UP assembly polls 2022

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath on Saturday, referring to All India Majlis-e-Ittahadul Muslimeen’s stake to contest the 2022 UP assembly polls, said that Bharatiya Janata party accepts AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s “challenge”. Yogi said that there is no doubt that BJP will form government in the state after winning “more than 300 seats” in the assembly elections next year.

In an interview with ANI, Cm Yogi said “Asaduddin Owaisi is a big leader of our nation. If he has challenged BJP for the 2022 Assembly elections, then BJP’s worker accepts his Asaduddin Owaisi challenge,” adding “there is no doubt that BJP will form government in UP in 2022.”

On June 27, AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi had said that his party will field candidates on 100 seats in the UP Assembly polls, which are scheduled to be held next year.

BJP had won 67 panchayat seats out of 75 seats in recent UP Zilla panchayat elections. Thanking all the party workers, Yogi vowed to win the 2022 assembly polls in the same way.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauding BJP’s spectacular victory in the UP Zilla Panchayat polls, said the credit for the party’s performance goes to CM Yogi and the party workers. He said that it was a blessing given by the people for development, public service and rule of law.

CM Yogi ,acknowledging PM Modi’s comments on Saturday said that the BJP’s fruitful results in the UP zila panchayat elections were a result of the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, National president(BJP) JP Nadda and Union home minister Amit Shah. “BJP won the 2014 General polls, 2017 Assembly polls, 2019 Lok Sabha polls and will claim victory in the 2022 Assembly polls,” he noted.
