Nation’s progress, corruption-free Bengal will be the important issues in Lok Sabha polls: Modi

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who conducted a political rally in West Bengal for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, said that India will be the world’s third-largest economy and West Bengal will be free of corruption. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this on Thursday at Cooch Behar in north Bengal.

Speaking about the local issues taking place in West Bengal, including the alleged sexual exploitation of village women in the Sandeshkhali area in the North 24 Parganas district by local TMC leaders, Modi said that West Bengal should be strengthened with the power of BJP as it is necessary for Bengal’s development.

“Only the BJP can stop atrocity on women. The nation has seen how the TMC used its full power to shield the guilty at Sandehskhali. BJP has vowed to punish them. They will spend the rest of their lives in prison,” Modi said, emphasing it is necessary to vote for the “Lotus symbol”. “This moment in the 21st century is crucial for our nation. It is time to make India a strong nation. Bengal and its people will be benefitted. It is time to fulfil the dreams of Maharaja Naranarayan, brave warrior Chila Ray and Thakur Panchanan Barma,” Modi added.

Cooch Behar, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri, all these three constituencies will go to polls on April 19 in the first of the seven phases.
