Shiv Sena MLA Sparks Controversy by Offering Rs 11 Lakh Reward for Cutting Rahul Gandhi’s Tongue

Mumbai: Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad has ignited a major controversy by announcing a reward of Rs. 11 lakh to anyone who cuts off Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s tongue. This statement came in retaliation to Gandhi’s recent comments on a reservation, where he suggested that the reservation system should end once a truly equal society is established.

Gaikwad’s inflammatory remarks have drawn widespread criticism. Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule distanced the party from Gaikwad’s statement, emphasizing that they do not support such a challenge. The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance currently governs Maharashtra.

Rahul Gandhi, while on an international trip, stated that it was his desire to end the reservation system after building a society of true equality in India. Gaikwad, in a press briefing, claimed that Gandhi’s comment exposed the true face of the Congress. He declared a reward, stating, “Anyone who cuts Rahul Gandhi’s tongue will be given Rs 11 lakh.”

Gaikwad also criticized the Congress, accusing the party of opposing Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in elections. He added that efforts will be made to educate Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and OBC communities about Congress’ stance on reservations and past statements by leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi.

Furthermore, Gaikwad urged social activist Manoj Jarange to reflect on the Maratha reservation issue, as it remains a key topic of discussion.
