World Cup Cricket: Kiwis continue their winning streak; Second defeat for the Netherlands

New Zealand won by 99 runs against the Netherlands in the World Cup match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

In the match, New Zealand lost the toss and batted first, scoring 322 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

Chasing a huge target, the Netherlands, led by Scott Edwards, were bowled out for 223 runs in 46.3 overs. Thus, they lost in the second match of the World Cup tournament as well. Colin Eckerman scored 69 runs for the Netherlands, but could not bring victory to his team despite the fight.

Mitchell Santer, who scored an unbeaten 37 runs in 17 balls for the Kiwis, was also brilliant in the bowling.

Santer, who bowled 10 overs for his part, gave away 59 runs and took 5 wickets. Bowler Matt Henry took three wickets. Young all-rounder Rachin Ravindra took one wicket.

New Zealand won their second successive win by 9 wickets against defending champions England in the opening match of the World Cup held on Thursday. By this, it has retained the first position in the points table. The Netherlands lost the first match against Pakistan by 81 runs.
