Israel-Hamas War: Israel forms an all-party government

Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and opposition leader Benny Gentz have agreed to form an all-party government to oversee military operations during the war against Hamas rebels.

Benny Gentz, leader of Israel’s National Unity Party, released a statement. Gentz said it was a joint statement with Netanyahu.

He said he would form a five-member War Management Cabinet. As long as the operation is going on, this government will not take any decision that is not related to the war and will not make any legislation that is not related to the war, the statement said.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid has also been invited to join the government. But he has not responded to this till now.
