Dover (US): President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he plans to speak with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, emphasizing that an all-out war in the Middle East must be avoided.
“We have to avoid it,” Biden told reporters before boarding Air Force One.
The remarks follow Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, which resulted in dozens of casualties, including the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. The White House has described Nasrallah’s death as a significant blow to Hezbollah but remains cautious in its efforts to prevent the Israel-Hamas conflict from escalating into a wider regional war.
