UN Report: Gaza’s Human Development Set Back by 70 Years Amid Gaza Genocide

GAZA: The ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict has pushed key development indicators in Gaza back by nearly 70 years, with millions of residents now living below the poverty line, according to a new United Nations report.

The UN Development Program (UNDP) revealed that Gaza’s economy has contracted by 35% since Israel’s occupation began, and unemployment could rise to a staggering 49.9%.

The report further highlighted that Gaza’s Human Development Index (HDI) has plummeted to 1955 levels, erasing almost seven decades of progress. The UN warned that this decline may worsen if Israeli military strikes continue.
