Farmer’s Delhi March: Haryana, Noida Border Sealed-Traffic Jam; The Central Government Has a Headache Again

Delhi: A heavy traffic jam has erupted at the Delhi-Noida border as security personnel search vehicles given farmer’s protest call in Noida and Greater Noida.

Besides the police, Rapid Action Force personnel have also been called to bring the situation under control. Riot control vehicles are in place and drones are being used for tight security.

Three years after their historic protest at the Delhi border, farmers are gearing up for another round of agitation in the national capital. Police in neighboring Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have made arrangements to stop separate groups of protesting farmers.

Cement barriers, sandbags, and barbed wire have been put up. Prohibitory orders have been imposed to prevent farmers from entering Delhi.

Farmers have been protesting for months demanding more compensation. Local development authorities have acquired their land. They have decided to march to Parliament today to fulfill their demands. Now the farmer’s march has become a headache for the central government.
