Bidar’s Skies Blazed with Color as the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team Thrills Spectators

The skies above Bidar were transformed into a canvas of vibrant colors as the Indian Air Force’s renowned Surya Kiran aerobatics team performed their breathtaking maneuvers. The show, originally scheduled for August 30th and 31st but postponed due to adverse weather, captivated audiences for 25 minutes.
The event, a joint initiative by the Indian Air Force and the Bidar district administration, occurred at the historic Bahamani Fort. Led by Group Captain Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, the nine-plane squadron delighted spectators with their intricate formations and daring aerial stunts.

Founded in 1996, the Surya Kiran team has a rich history of enthralling audiences with their domestic and international performances, showcasing their skills in countries like China, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, and the UAE.

Among the dignitaries present at the event were Bidar Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma, Air Commodore Parag Lall of the Indian Air Force, Zilla Panchayat CEO Girish Badole, Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shivakumar Sheelavantha, and Bidar City Municipal Council President Mohammed Gous.
