Miscreants vandalized the Syed Peer Dargah located on Karadalli Road on the outskirts of Chittapur town late Wednesday night. The perpetrators broke the lock on the dargah’s gate and damaged the surrounding structures, including the minaret.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, PSI Shrishail Ambati and police personnel, accompanied by the dargah’s caretaker Syed, visited the site to investigate.
Syed condemned the attack, stating that targeting a place of worship is unacceptable and demanding the swift arrest and severe punishment of the culprits involved.
