If I can enter the Karnataka assembly wearing hijab, why aren’t these girls in school or college?” Hijabi MLA comes in support of girls

Gulbarga North Constituency MLA Kaneez Fathima has come out in support of the girls wearing hijab, banned outside college gate, saying that if she can enter the Assembly wearing a hijab, “then why can’t the girls enter?”

Taking it to Twitter, Fathima said, “If I can enter the assembly wearing hijab, then why aren’t these girls in school or college? Why all of a sudden there is an attempt to give saffron color to educational institutions?”

“Hijab is our right. We can give our lives but we cannot leave hijab,” she said showing solidarity to them, “kudos to brave girls.”

Kaneez Fathima is the wife of a former minister late Qamar-ul-Islam who was also MLA from same Constituency in 2013.
