Rahul Gandhi Calls for Unified Discussion on NEET Issue in Lok Sabha

New Delhi (PTI): Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has called for a comprehensive discussion on the NEET issue, emphasizing the importance of addressing the concerns of the youth. Speaking to the media, Gandhi highlighted the unanimous agreement among opposition leaders to bring the matter to the forefront in the House.

“Yesterday, all the leaders of the opposition parties had a meeting and it was unanimous that today, we want a discussion on the NEET issue,” Gandhi said. He stressed the need for the discussion to be conducted respectfully and inclusively, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the debate.

“There should be a discussion on NEET here in the House. I request the Prime Minister that this is an issue of the youth and it should be discussed properly and it should be a respectful discussion,” Gandhi added. He emphasized that a unified message from Parliament would show the government and the opposition standing together for the students’ cause.

“We will do it respectfully. You should also join the discussion, you should also participate because this is a matter of the youth. A message should go from the Parliament that the Indian government and the opposition are talking about the students together,” Gandhi concluded.

The call for a discussion on NEET follows growing concerns over alleged irregularities and the need for transparency in the examination process. As the issue impacts millions of aspiring students across the country, Gandhi’s appeal aims to ensure their voices are heard and addressed appropriately in the legislative forum.
