Three Women Arrested in Andhra Pradesh for Cyanide Murders, Targeted Victims for Gold and Money

Vijayawada: In a shocking case, three women from Tenali, Guntur district, have been arrested for their involvement in a series of cyanide murders over the past two years. The accused, Munagappa Rajani (40), Mudiyala Venkateswari alias Bujji (32), and Gontu Ramanamma (60), confessed to killing three individuals and attempting to murder three others for gold and money.

The investigation began after the decomposed body of Shaik Nagoor Bee was discovered in a field near Vadlamudi village. Police, using mobile data and witness testimonies, uncovered the gruesome plot. The women lured their victims with friendly gestures, offering cyanide-laced drinks and food. Their victims included Venkateswari’s mother-in-law, killed for property and gold, and a neighbor, murdered to avoid repaying a loan.

The accused sourced the cyanide from a gold shop employee, who is now on the run. Police are continuing investigations to determine if more victims are involved.
