Controversy Erupts in Rajya Sabha Over Ranbir Kapoor’s “Animal” for Alleged Promotion of Violence and Misogyny

New Delhi: The recently released movie “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor, became the focal point of a heated debate in the Rajya Sabha today, as Congress MP Ranjeet Ranjan criticized the film for allegedly promoting violence and misogyny.

During the parliamentary session, Ranjeet Ranjan expressed her concerns about the content of the film, stating that it raises questions about the effectiveness of the Censor Board in filtering out content that may have adverse effects on society.

“This movie is a clear manifestation of the disease that is seeping into our society through cinema. It promotes violence and misogyny, and I question how the Censor Board could clear such content,” Ranjan declared, urging the need for stricter scrutiny of films before they are granted certification.
