Pune: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly condemned the Masjid Darululam Jamia Inamiya demolition in Pune by the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government.
Owaisi criticized the decision, highlighting that while the mosque is being targeted, thousands of nearby illegal houses remain untouched.
The mosque, located in the Thergaon Kaliwadi area of Pimpri-Chinchwad, has stood for over 25 years. Owaisi alleged that right-wing Hindu groups instigated the complaint leading to the demolition notice.
He questioned Chief Minister Shinde on why the mosque alone was singled out, accusing the government of discriminatory practices in the area.
