Hate speech: Petition to be argued next month

New Delhi: CPM leader Vrinda Karat had filed a petition linked to the hate speeches made by BJP leaders Anurag Thakur and Pravesh Verma. The Supreme Court will hear the petition on October 3. During protests against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) an F.I.R. was not registered against the hate speeches made by both of them and the conduct of the trial court in not directing the same was challenged by Vrinda. The Supreme Court clearly said that the defendants in the case will not be given any more rights and case will be heard on October 3.
