Asaduddin Owaisi Criticizes PM Modi Over Women’s Safety Concerns, Cites Release of Bilqis Bano’s Convicted Rapists

In a scathing critique, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi took to social media to challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to women’s safety. Referring to a speech made by Modi expressing concern over the issue, Owaisi highlighted the contradiction in the government’s actions, notably the release of Bilqis Bano’s rapists, who also murdered her family during the 2002 Gujarat riots. Bano spent 15 years fighting for justice, a period during which Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Owaisi further pointed out that Modi had campaigned for a candidate in Karnataka accused of serious crimes against women, questioning how social change could be expected when the ruling party appears to protect such individuals. He criticized the decision to release convicted rapists, stating that it sends a dangerous message to criminals.

The remarks underline the ongoing debate about the government’s stance on women’s safety, with Owaisi urging the Prime Minister to take the issue more seriously.
