Crown Prince Directs Dubai Government to Prepare for Unforeseen Weather Events

Dubai: In a proactive move aimed at enhancing the resilience of Dubai’s infrastructure and services, Crown Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed has instructed government bodies to formulate a comprehensive strategy to tackle unexpected weather phenomena. The directive came during a meeting attended by Deputy Ruler Maktoum bin Mohammed, emphasizing the importance of readiness in the face of severe weather challenges.

Dubai Municipality has intensified its field operations to swiftly restore normalcy in the emirate following recent severe weather conditions. The concerted efforts aim to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors alike.

Mattar Al Tayer, Commissioner General of Infrastructure, Urban Planning, and Wellbeing Pillar, as well as Director General of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has spearheaded the development of an integrated plan to mitigate potential disruptions caused by adverse weather. The proactive approach underscores Dubai’s commitment to maintaining high standards of infrastructure and service delivery, even in challenging circumstances.
