MEDICAL COLLEGE MAYHEM: Clerk’s Drunken Rampage Sparks Safety Concerns for Woman Doctors

In a shocking incident, a clerk at Jalaun’s Urai Medical College was suspended after allegedly harassing a junior woman doctor in her residence within the college campus. The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety and security of woman doctors in the medical college.

According to sources, the clerk, Lilit Kumar, was in an inebriated state when he reached the woman doctor’s room on August 19, carrying a Rakhi in his hand. He allegedly knocked on her door, and when she opened it, he grabbed her hand and pulled her. The woman doctor managed to free herself and reported the incident to the authorities.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the medical college community, with many questioning the safety measures in place for woman doctors. An investigation by Amar Ujala on August 22 revealed that there were no guards assigned to protect woman doctors in the medical college, and anyone could enter or exit without being questioned.

The medical college administration has taken action against the accused clerk, suspending him after a complaint was filed by the woman doctor. However, the incident has highlighted the need for improved safety measures to protect woman doctors from such incidents in the future.

“The safety of our students and staff is our top priority,” said Dr. Arvind Trivedi, Principal of the Medical College. “We will take all necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not recur.”

The police have registered a case against the accused clerk and are investigating the matter. The woman doctor has recorded her statement with the police, and further action is expected soon.
