Often actors and other renowned personalities win hearts by showing their simplicity among the public. The recent example comes from Rahul Dravid, the star cricketer, who was seen standing in a long queue while waiting to cast his vote for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, 2024.
As Karnataka goes for its first phase of voting today, people were excited to cast their vote. Legendary cricketer Rahul Dravid casted his vote today in Dollars Colony in Bengaluru. It was the Indian cricketer’s simplicity that won people over. There were several visuals of the cricketer which were shared on various social media platforms that went viral with fans commenting on Dravid’s humble nature.
An X user (formerly known as Twitter) shared one such video with a caption that reads, “My man casually went out in shorts to vote, like any other common man, who would believe this man is the coach of the Indian cricket team. Simplicity at its peak”. Since the video was shared a few hours ago, it has gathered nearly 2.2 lakh views – and the numbers are quickly increasing. The tweet has also gathered close to 8,700 likes.
After casting his vote, Dravid spoke to the reporters and said, “Voting went smoothly, and the process was very easy. It is important to take our democracy forward, and I request everyone to step out and vote.”
