Delhi: Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat, upon joining the Congress, expressed her gratitude to the party, stating, “In difficult times, you find out who truly stands by you.” Reflecting on the wrestlers’ protest, she remarked that while they were being mistreated, all parties, except the BJP, stood with them.
Phogat expressed pride in joining a party that supports women and is ready to fight for justice, “from the streets to Parliament.” Her decision to join Congress comes after months of being vocal about the lack of support from the BJP during their struggle.
