Bengaluru: On Wednesday, Congress released its final list of candidates for the upcoming legislative assembly by-elections in the Channapattana and Sandur constituencies, with the candidate for Shiggaon yet to be announced.
In Channapattana, Congress has fielded former BJP MLC C.P. Yogeshwar, who recently switched to the party. For Sandur, the ticket has been awarded to Annapoorna, the wife of former MLA Tukaram, who vacated the seat after winning the Ballari Lok Sabha seat.
The Shiggaon constituency, previously represented by former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, remains undecided as Congress has not yet named its candidate. The BJP has already finalized Bharat Bommai, the former CM’s son, as its candidate for the constituency.
