Strict Action Ordered After Fatal Building Collapse in Bengaluru’s Babusab Palya

Bengaluru: Following the tragic collapse of an under-construction building in Babusab Palya, which claimed the lives of several workers, strict action has been called for against those responsible. During a visit to the site, officials emphasized the need for legal repercussions against builders who continue construction without proper permits.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah tweeted, “Visited the site of the building collapse in Babusab Palya. I have instructed the BBMP Commissioner to take strict legal action against the owners, contractors, and engineers who ignored warnings to stop unauthorized construction. We will not tolerate such negligence. Strict measures will be implemented to prevent such incidents in the future.”

Instructions have been given to BBMP Commissioner Tushara Girinath to take firm legal action against the owners, contractors, and engineers involved, as they ignored notices to halt the unauthorized construction. The Divisional Officer is also set to face disciplinary measures.

Authorities have been directed to ensure precautionary measures are in place to prevent such incidents in the future.
