Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, along with other Congress leaders, staged a protest near the Gandhi statue at Vidhana Soudha.
The protest aimed to press Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot to approve the prosecution of several opposition leaders, including Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy, and former Ministers Murugesh Nirani, Janardana Reddy, and Shashikala Jolle.
The demonstration, which included Ministers, MLAs, and MPs, culminated in a large foot march to Raj Bhavan, where the Congress leaders submitted a formal request urging the Governor to expedite the cases against these opposition figures.
