Mangalore: The Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) Company has become the largest state-owned refinery in the country to process oil at a single location in 2022-23.
MRPL achieved this feat by processing 1.71 crore metric tonnes of crude oil in the last financial year. MPRL processes about 10% of the crude oil processed by the country’s state-owned oil refineries.
MRPL has the capacity to process more than 250 types of crude oil in the world, crude oil from the Middle East, Russia, Africa, South America, and Europe are processed here, and the release said.
