Sameer Wankhede’s wife and father meet Union Minister Athawale

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede’s father Dnyandev Wankhede and wife Kranti Redkar Wankhede met Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale on October 31.
Athawale, who is the RPI leader, lent his full support to the Wankhede family.
Addressing a press conference held in Mumbai, Athawale said “On behalf of the RPI, I would like to tell Nawab Malik to stop conspiring to defame Sameer and his family. If he says that Sameer is a Muslim then why is he, a Muslim too, levelling allegations? Republican Party stands with them. Sameer won’t be harmed.”
“We came here today, he (Athawale) said that it’s unfortunate that he’s (Malik) snatching away a Dalit’s seat. He’s (Athawale) standing with us as he cares for every Dalit. So far Nawab Malik’s all allegations have proven to be a lie”, said Kranti Redkar Wankhede, Sameer Wankhede’s wife.
Nawab Malik has been accusing Wankhede of forging his certificates and documents to secure a job from the SC quota as an IRS officer.
Malik has been claiming that Wankhede is a Muslim by birth and by law Muslims cannot be included in the SC.
Things got even more complicated as Sameer Wankhede’s ex father in law, Zaheed Qureshi has claimed that the Wankhede family have been followers of Islam and the officer’s fathers’ real name is Dawood.
Kranti Redkar has penned an emotional note to CM uddhav Thakeray urging him to give her and her family justice.
